Duplicate Caches?

I just recently registered and have only loaded one set of caches so far. But, I have a question about when I load caches the second time.

If I load a gpx file with multiple caches in it, and merge with what is already loaded and there are duplicate caches, will they be overwritten with the new versions, or will it create duplicates in GeoNiche?

Thanks in advance.

So if I understand

So if I understand correctly, as long as I use EasyNiche every time I load my GPX files (which I plan to do), I can avoid duplicates. Right?

Avoiding duplicates

That is correct.

Merging targets for the second time

Targets and routes created with EasyNiche and GoogNiche have a unique ID in them. GeoNiche uses this ID to determine which targets and routes being merged are already in GeoNiche. Targets and routes created with other programs may not include this unique ID.

When a duplicate target or route is found, GeoNiche asks you what to do. You can either overwrite the data already in GeoNiche or keep the GeoNiche data and not merge the duplicate target/route. There is also a checkbox to apply your selection to the remaining duplicates automatically.
