Average of manual Target

Hi,

I really like GeoNiche on my Palm - it's a great geocaching software with features all over :-)

But I'm missing a function to make a longterm average measurement for a manualy created target. At the time I use Cetus GPS for this. It would be great if it is possible to do this also with GeoNiche.

Greetings

Averaging Targets

Thanks for the kind words.

I agree with you. When it comes to geocaching, few things are as frustrating as trying to find a cache where the owner has posted bad coordinates.

In GeoNiche, when 'Position: Averaged' is checked on the Program/Preferences/GPS Info screen, your current location is reported (while you are stationary) as the average of the most recent 10 readings from the GPS receiver. You are considered stationary when the speed reported by the GPS receiver is lower than the 'Drift' value on the Program/Preferences/GPS Receiver screen.

Thanks for your suggestion. I will look into increasing the number of readings that are averaged to 100 and adding an option to create an average of specific targets.
